Before Vivant: Louise’s Early Career
Beginning her career in healthcare as a nurse, Louise worked in the NHS before deciding to pursue further opportunities within care management.
After stints as both a registered manager and an operational manager, she then went on to work as an inspector for the Care Quality Commission. This experience in particular is what Louise credits for giving her an insightful perspective on what works well when running a care home.
A desire to return to care management led Louise to become a general manager with the luxury care group Loveday, swiftly progressing to the role of Group Director of Wellbeing and Membership within the senior leadership team.
Founding Vivant
After her time at Loveday, Louise felt empowered to start her own private home care business. She recognised a simple, yet fundamental fact: people want to continue living in the comfort of their own home for as long as it’s feasible and safe to do so.
Thus, Vivant was founded on the principle of making that happen.
Our approach is person-centred, always putting the individual and their choices, preferences and needs first. Our services are holistic, appreciating that true wellness encompasses physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
Louise’s Hopes for Vivant
Having always believed that healthcare has transformative potential, Louise has and continues to dedicate her career to translating that belief into reality.
She pictures a future where healthcare is about more than simply treating illness, but instead focuses on the provision of exceptional care that can change lives for the better. Such a future is one in which she envisions Vivant playing an important role.
